This strategy included appointing a Managing Director that has no client portfolio to manage, reflecting the fact that to lead and develop a firm of our size to truly fulfil its potential, this needs a dedicated, full-time MD. The challenges presented by COVID-19 have been a catalyst for accelerating this transition.

I am delighted to announce that from 1st October 2020, Steve Revill will be taking up the role of Managing Director. Since joining the firm in 2018 as Commercial Director, Steve has played a key role across the business, leading the marketing function and elevating the firm’s profile in the market whilst also helping to support the development of our business strategy. He brings commercial experience, strong strategic and communication skills, plus ridiculous drive and energy!

It was a big decision to appoint a Managing Director that isn’t an Accountant, but following a rigorous interview process that involved all the shareholders, Steve shared his plans to build upon the strategy we have embarked on together and how he saw the future of the firm as MD. He brings a wealth of commercial experience to the role, through a 20+ year career in client-side and international consulting roles across a broad range of industry sectors including technology, FinTech, financial services and professional services.

Steve commented:

I knew Rickard Luckin was very special when I joined back in 2018 and I’m as passionate today as I was back then about helping the firm, its clients and its people to fully achieve their potential. I have already had the opportunity to meet many of our amazing clients and I look forward to meeting many more in the months and years ahead.”

As Steve takes on the Managing Director role, from 1 October I will be taking up the role of Chairman, alongside my client-facing role which I am passionate about. I am excited and energised to take on this role, which has been expanded to include responsibility for governance of the company, firm culture and vision, and working with Steve on leadership and team engagement.

I really look forward to working with Steve to lead our operations and truly move the firm forward through the next phase of its development and growth in this very challenging but exciting time for our team, our clients and our firm.
