Rickard Luckin has a volunteer day policy which allows all team members to take up to two days of volunteering leave per year.
Steve Revill
, Managing Director at Rickard Luckin, is leading by example and has been invited to join Essex & Herts Air Ambulance’s ‘Building Our Future Fleet’ Campaign Board.
Steve commented: “Living and working in the two counties they cover, I've been a supporter of the
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance
(EHAAT) for a number of years, including raising £1,135 for them when I ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2019. More recently, I was made aware of their ‘Building our Future Fleet’ campaign by Stephanie Pisharody, Head of Philanthropy at EHAAT. The campaign aims to raise the remaining £1m towards a new helicopter throughout the course of 2023.”
Steve continued: “Following a very inspiring tour of EHAAT’s excellent facilities at the North Weald airbase, where I got to meet some of the incredible team including Adam Broom (Clinical Director), I decided I wanted to get involved on a more structured basis. After discussing various volunteering opportunities further with Stephanie, I was invited to join the ‘Building Our Future Fleet’ Campaign Board, where I will be helping to identify potential high value donors whilst overseeing and supporting the wider campaign effort. Thanks to the support of Rickard Luckin and its Volunteer Days policy, I am able to support this amazing charity throughout the year ahead!”
Gayner Smith
, Director and Head of the Charity Committee at Rickard Luckin, concluded: "We introduced volunteer days as a way for everyone to be able to give back to our local community and we want as many people across the firm to utilise these days. It’s fantastic to see Steve leading by example and using his time and skills in a way that will make a huge impact.”
