As we continue to recruit talented people to build and strengthen our team for the future, we are pleased to announce our ‘Class of 2023’, which this year consists of a notable six trainees.
In order to strengthen our team and support our clients to help them realise their potential and achieve their aims, the new trainee intake has seen Luke Gaydon, Kiai Lai, Olivia Short, Jessica Stevens, Abigail Wakefield and Lily Warwick all start their career journeys with us.
Rickard Luckin has built a very special culture over many years by staying true to our core values of Passionate, Personal and Professional, and our recent recognition by Best Companies as being one of the best accountancy firms to work for in the UK stands the firm in good stead as we continue to invest in improving the employee experience. Our goal is to make Rickard Luckin the employer of choice for those looking to start or develop their career in a progressive and forward-looking firm of accountants and tax advisers.
As well as looking forward to watching our class of 2023 develop and grow in our audit and accounts teams, we are excited to see what the new trainees can bring to Rickard Luckin. The desire to offer an extensive range of knowledge and expertise to our clients is the reason behind our continuous drive to invite the very best people to join the team, and with that, we welcome our class of 2023 to the Rickard Luckin family.
Find out a little more about our new starters and why they chose to apply to join Rickard Luckin:
Luke Gaydon - “ Rickard Luckin has always been the perfect choice for me. After completing my work experience at this firm back in 2022 I loved my time spent here. As a result, I then decided I wanted to go on to become a qualified accountant after my A levels at this firm. The people here are all friendly and willing to help whenever which makes it an enjoyable work environment and a place I can’t wait to spend my next years in. ”
Kiai Lai - “ I chose Rickard Luckin because everyone I know who works at RL loves going to work and has an amazing work life balance. Also, I love the fact that it feels like one big family and I feel very comfortable here, and for a big business that is very hard to come by. ”
Olivia Short - “ I decided I wanted to join RL as soon as I began to research into the company’s culture, ethics and the many awards won. I knew years ago that I was not interested in going to university as I couldn't wait to leave school and begin progressing my career as an accountant. It would give me the chance to earn while also growing in confidence, plus having experience in the professional environment. RL stood out to me as somewhere where they push their employees to excel as a person but also professionally. ”
Jessica Stevens - “ My plan was to go to university, but after going to the RL open evening my mind changed and working for a more local company than a big company was what interested me as there are still different size businesses to work with. I am looking forward to working in an office environment and meeting new people all around the different offices. ”
Abigail Wakefield - “ I decided to join Rickard Luckin because I wanted to dive headfirst into gaining experience in my relevant career area and did not necessarily want to take more time in the university pathway. In researching Rickard Luckin, I discovered how great the company is in its actions towards its employees as well as just being a pleasant atmosphere and environment. Over my first few days here at Rickard Luckin, I have been wholly welcomed and I am really looking forward to my time here to come! ”
Lily Warwick - “ I chose Rickard Luckin because I didn't think University was the right path for me, so I started looking at other options, knowing that I had a keen interest in maths and economics. I heard great things about the company and I am very fortunate to have been given this opportunity. ” |
