Rickard Luckin has attained the highly-respected ESGmark® certification; recognising the firm's commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance principles.
The ESGmark® certification is an important and increasingly recognised way for organisations to communicate their responsible approach to business with credibility. ESGmark® members are at the forefront of the business world’s move to a more responsible way of operating with respect to the planet and society.
In order to be awarded the certification, the Essex-based tax and accountancy firm had to undertake a rigorous process to evidence its working practices and outline a sustainable plan for the future.
The firm has a long-standing tradition when it comes to giving back to the community and reaching out to local charities such as Havens Hospice and through its Essex Community Foundation fund, and it recognises the importance of ESG factors in running a true firm of the future.
Portia Patel, co-founder of ESGmark®, said "We are delighted to award ESGmark® certification to Rickard Luckin and welcome the company to our community. We have been impressed by the broad engagement across Rickard Luckin with the process and the strong progress achieved to date. We look forward to supporting the team on their ongoing journey."
Steve Revill , Managing Director at Rickard Luckin, explained: “We are passionate about our responsibility to ESG and wanted to understand how we’re doing through an external appraisal of our current practices. Following this independent review, I’m thrilled to confirm that Rickard Luckin is now a certified member of ESGMark®.”
Michael Breame , Director at Rickard Luckin, who led the application, added: “ESGmark® certification considers the sustainability and ethical impact of a company in relation to its employees, customers and the wider community. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be working with ESGmark® and developing our overall ESG strategy accordingly, as well as more specifically plans for the year ahead.”
Michael, who holds ACCA’s the Certificate in Sustainability for Finance (CertSF), concluded: “This is just the start of the journey for us; but, by joining the community and having structured support on hand, we know we are giving ourselves the best chance of making a difference and driving the business forward in the best way possible.”
